About Saatvik Green Energy

Saatvik Green Energy is a fast-growing Indian manufacturer of solar PV modules. Rapid growth brought more employees travelling between plants, customers and project sites, and with it the need for consistent travel policy and clear spend visibility.

The challenge

Saatvik wanted travel and expense to follow company policy by design, not by exception. Flights and cars were booked in different ways by different people, claims and approvals were not standardised, and leadership lacked a financial-year view of spend by department and location.

The solution

AeonX configured Xpense for Saatvik and delivered five change requests (about 13 person-days) to match its policies.

Architecture

Xpense runs as multi-tenant SaaS on AWS with a dedicated database for Saatvik. The PHP (Yii2) API, Next.js admin portal and Flutter app share tenant-level configuration for flights, OCR, invoicing and hotels, so policy changes such as company-only booking are configuration rather than custom code.

Delivery timeline

Where Claude comes in

Saatvik joined Xpense during the platform's 2026 release, which the Xpense team built with Claude Code (about 1,050 Claude co-authored commits from six developers). Saatvik's change requests were delivered in the same Claude Code workflow.

In production, Claude reads receipts and verifies its extraction, checks suspected duplicates and rates each report for approvers through Smart Approver.
